About Our Community

Centrally located in eastern South Dakota and nestled along the James River, Huron is a community of approximately 12,000 residents. Known for its friendly people and unique visitor opportunities, Huron is home to the South Dakota State Fair – one of the largest agricultural expositions in the United States, the World's Largest Pheasant, plentiful parks and outdoor recreation activities, and a business-friendly atmosphere.
