25th Annual Papa Luigi Dancing with the Stars Raises $75,000
March 29, 2024
This year’s Papa Luigi raised more than $75,000 for the Huron Regional Medical Center Foundation, according to Levi Kary, executive director of the HRMC Foundation.
More than 430 guests attended the 25th annual Papa Luigi event on March 23 at the Huron Event Center. Guests dressed in their best silver attire to celebrate the silver anniversary and for the very first “Dancing with the Stars” theme.
Seven local star-couples competed for best-dance, with donations equating to votes, raising over $21,000 on votes alone. Each couple selected a themed routine from the past 25 Papa Luigi themes. The couple with the most donations was Dr. Anthony and Emma Loewen, who danced to the tune, “Poker Face” with a roaring 20’s Las Vegas style-theme.
“We’re absolutely blown away by the support of this event," explained Kary. “We want to thank Tarin Oyler for her countless hours of work and talent from planning to routines to instructing dancers, as well as our great couples, sponsors, businesses who donated auction items, volunteers and everyone who attended.”
Funds raised through Papa Luigi will help to support the mission of the HRMC Foundation in ensuring high-quality local health care is available now and into the future.
