Brott, Daly and Reimer Named to HRMC Leadership
May 14, 2026
Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is pleased to announce several leadership appointments within diagnostic services, effective Monday, May 18. Ruth Anne Brott, MLS (ASCP), current director of laboratory services, has accepted an expanded leadership role as director of diagnostic services, overseeing both laboratory and radiology departments. In addition, Chelsey Daly, MLT (ASCP), has been named laboratory coordinator and Lanah Reimer, ARRT, RT(R)(M), has been named radiology coordinator.
Brott currently oversees the technical and scientific operations of HRMC’s laboratory services, including supervision and evaluation of testing personnel and collaboration with medical staff and hospital departments to ensure quality, safe, efficient and accurate testing services for patients.
Brott, who brings 36 years of laboratory experience to the role, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from John Brown University, completed the Sioux Valley School of Medical Technology in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and also holds an associate degree in Arts and Bible from University of Northwestern in St. Paul.
“Leading this multi-disciplinary team will allow me to expand my leadership experience to work with another important diagnostic department, and I am only able to take on this additional responsibility because I know both departments have capable and motivated staff,” said Brott. “Chelsey and Lanah are both qualified and motivated to provide excellent care to our community and I’m looking forward to discovering ways the two departments can learn from each other and work together.”
Brott lives in Huron with her husband, Tony, and has two grown children, Liz (Carter), and Andrew (Kayce). In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, being involved with church, caring for plants, and watching period dramas.
Daly, who has worked for HRMC since 2017, currently serves as a laboratory supervisor. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Black Hills State University and an Associate of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from Mitchell Technical College.
Daly said she is excited for the opportunity to further contribute to quality patient care through leadership. “As a lifelong learner, I am always eager to expand my knowledge and stay current with best practices, ensuring that we consistently produce the highest-quality results for the patients we serve,” said Daly. “What I love most about the lab is that we are the behind-the-scenes heroes and while we might not be by the bedside, a day without lab is a day without answers. The lab helps guide providers to diagnosis and treatment and I get to be a major part of that.”
Daly and her husband, Cody, have two daughters, Liza, 5, and Lena, almost 2. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, attending races, camping, baking, gardening, and canning.
Reimer has also worked for HRMC since 2017 and currently serves as a radiologic technologist specializing in mammography, breast sonography and ultrasound and is proficient in a variety of radiologic technologies. She attended Mitchell Technical College for radiologic technology training and has a longstanding family connection to HRMC, where both her mother and grandmother worked.
Reimer said she is excited to step into a leadership role supporting both patients and staff. “I’ve always believed that we have a responsibility to make sure every patient receives the best care from start to finish. Stepping into the radiology coordinator role allows me to support that follow-through in a bigger way,” said Reimer. “I’m proud to lead such an incredible team, and together we’re committed to ensuring each patient receives the highest level of imaging possible, every step of the way.”
Reimer lives in Huron with her husband, Andy, and their children, Nora, 5, Blair, 3, and Macklin, 7 months. She enjoys spending time with family, biking, camping and working out.
