April is Volunteer Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the selfless individuals who dedicate their time and energy to making a difference in their communities. At Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC), the Auxiliary volunteers embody this spirit of service, playing a crucial role in enhancing the hospital experience for patients, families, and staff.
The HRMC Auxiliary is a dedicated group of volunteers who contribute their time and talents to support the hospital's mission. From assisting at information desks to delivering floral arrangements to patients, their presence brings comfort and compassion to those in need. Each year, volunteers donate over 4,000 hours to the hospital, showcasing their unwavering commitment to the community.
The Auxiliary also plays a vital role in supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals. Through fundraising efforts, including sales from hospital gift shops and membership dues, the group awards scholarships to local students pursuing careers in healthcare.
