Deniger Named HRMC Exceptional Employee for November

Huron, S.D. – Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) honored its November Exceptional Employee of the Month, Katie Deniger, RN, with a reception on Wednesday, November 18, 2015.
Deniger, who has worked as a nurse in the HRMC Physicians Clinic for more than one year, was nominated by coworkers to receive the honor. According to nominating coworkers, “Katie always greets both patients and staff in a pleasant and cheerful manner, putting everyone at ease.
“She brings a winning attitude to her job and is a positive influence on her coworkers and patients,” the nominaton continued. “Katie’s service is centered around the physicians she works with, patients and her coworkers and is always provided with a smile and professional attitude!”
HRMC’s Exceptional Employee of the Month award recognizes an employee who goes above and beyond to exceed expectations. Employees can be nominated by other employees or by a patient or visitor who witnesses exceptional service. A committee of employees from various hospital departments chooses the employee on a monthly basis and an Exceptional Employee of the Year is chosen at year-end from the 12 monthly honorees.
As November exceptional employee, Deniger received a reception with friends and coworkers, a meal certificate to a local restaurant, a professional photo session and portrait, $50, a lapel pin and a special parking place for a month.
Deniger earned a bachelor degree in horticulture from Oregon State University. She also holds an associate of science degree in nursing from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, S.D.
She is engaged to Eric Tillman, and has one son named Jonah who is five years old. In her spare time, Deniger enjoys snowboarding, four-wheeling in the Black Hills and gardening.
