Employees Donate Bench Dedicated to Tschetter & Hohm Clinic Physicians

Past employees of Tschetter & Hohm Clinic, who recently marked one year of service at the HRMC Physicians Clinic location and two years as HRMC employees, celebrated the occasion with a group photo on a bench donated in honor of the legacy of Tschetter & Hohm Clinic physicians. The bench was purchased and donated by former Tschetter & Hohm Clinic employees and sits outside the main entrance of the HRMC Physicians Clinic.
HRMC assumed operation of Tschetter & Hohm Clinic on July 1, 2021 when practitioners and staff became HRMC employees, but remained in the Tschetter & Hohm Clinic building. On July 14, 2022, after 73 years of caring for the health of the community in the same building, Tschetter & Hohm Clinic closed its doors, transitioning to the HRMC Physicians Clinic.
The merge came after Dr. Robert Hohm determined the need for a plan to maintain care for the community and the patients who sought care in the clinic his family built far into the future. Tschetter & Hohm Clinic was founded after World War II by Drs. Paul, John and Joseph Tschetter and Drs. Paul and Ted Hohm. Paul’s son, Robert, joined the clinic after finishing medical school.
“The most important part of this transition is that our patients can continue to receive the care they’ve come to expect - without having to travel out of town,” said Dr. Hohm, following the announcement to merge..
Several practitioners, nurses, support staff, and Dr. Hohm himself remain employed by HRMC, keeping the Tschetter & Hohm Clinic tradition of caring for friends and neighbors alive and well and even offering a bench to stop and share a moment or conversation.
