Food Truck Wednesday Returns with a Splash
July 23, 2025
Get ready for a fun-filled evening of food, music and laughter at Food Truck Wednesday on Wednesday, July 30 at Memorial Park in Huron from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
The popular summer event supported by Huron Connect will be co-hosted by Huron Regional Medical Center this month and will feature a variety of local food trucks, live music by Danielle Nowell, and free face painting for kids. New this year is “Splashing for Stories,” a dunk tank fundraiser to benefit the Reach Out and Read program at HRMC Clinics.
The Reach out and Read program is funded in-part by the HRMC Foundation. The national initiative aims to promote early childhood literacy by having medical providers give age-appropriate books to children (6 months to 5 years old) during well-child visits and offering guidance to parents about the importance of reading aloud.
As part of the fun, community members are encouraged to nominate a friend to brave the dunk tank. Nominees must be available and willing to participate, and two lucky dunkees will be selected on Monday, July 28. Nominations can be submitted online at the QR code shown here and on HRMC’s Facebook page.
This event is a great way for families to enjoy the summer, support a great cause, and maybe see a familiar face take a splash for literacy as every dollar raised by dunking helps promote early childhood literacy during well-child visits.
