HRMC Foundation Awards $7,000 in Scholarships

Huron, S.D. – The Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) Foundation announces the recipients of 12 scholarships totaling $7,000, according to Joel Nelson, foundation board chairman.

“Our purpose in providing these scholarships is to encourage students to pursue a career in a healthcare field and also encourage HRMC employees and their children in their educational pursuits,” said Joel Nelson. “We had an amazing response this year with many qualified applicants. I am pleased to congratulate the following individuals as they further their education.”

Thaw Htoo, who is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in nursing at the University of South Dakota
Gracelyn Fast, who is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in biology-health professions at Northwestern College
Tayler Regnier, who is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in exercise science/pre-physical therapy at the University of South Dakota
Alicia Jackson, who is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in nursing at South Dakota State University
Quincee Goeller, who is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in pre-medicine/medical biology at the University of South Dakota
Nathan Price, who works as a grounds/security officer and is the son of Shane Price, who works in the facilities department at HRMC, is pursuing a bachelor of arts degree in English at Northern State University
Jacob Rieger, who is the son of Kim Rieger, the vice president of marketing/communications at HRMC, is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in exercise science at Augustana University
Allison Bich, who is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in pharmacy (Pharm. D.) and a bachelor of arts degree in Spanish at South Dakota State University
Kennedy Fast, who is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in nursing with a minor in health science at South Dakota State University
Ashley Robinson, who is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in biology, nutrition and dietetics, with a minor in chemistry at Dakota State University
Kori Tschetter, who is pursuing a degree in radiology technology at Mitchell Technical Institute
Braeden Edleman, who is pursuing a degree in medical biology at the University of South Dakota

“The HRMC Foundation Scholarship Program provides financial support to help ensure that the Huron area continues to have quality, dedicated healthcare staff,” explained Joel Nelson. “We sincerely appreciate our dedicated donors who make this scholarship program possible.”
