HRMC Foundation Golfing for a Cause Tournament Winners Announced

The 3rd annual Golfing for a Cause Tournament, presented by the Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) Foundation, was held Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Broadland Creek National Golf Course. The longtime was previously held by a community group and transitioned to an HRMC Foundation event in 2021.
$11,485 was raised to help support early detection of breast cancer through the We’ve Got You Covered fund, which supports promotion of breast health, breast education and screening mammograms for women in need. The tournament is one of four annual fundraising events that support the program.
Warmth and sun made for a perfect day for 18-holes of golf and fun, including several new games. This year, a total of 21 teams made up of 84 golfers participated, up from 16 teams in 2022. Local businesses donated a variety of pin prizes and silent auction items. Sponsors included Kraus-Anderson, A-1 Storage, New Life Clinic General Surgery, Huron Clinic, Kibble Equipment and Legacy Financial Partners.

1st place in each flight received $300, 2nd place received $200, and 3rd place $100. Three of the winning teams donated the winnings back to the Foundation.
