HRMC Honors Comes as August Exceptional Employee

Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) honored August Exceptional Employee of the Month, Ethan Comes, RN this week.
Comes was nominated by coworkers to receive the honor. According to the nomination, “Ethan is always ready to help and is genuinely compassionate about his work, going the extra mile for both patients and coworkers alike.”
“Ethan is mentioned repeatedly by patients responding to satisfaction surveys,” the nomination continued. “Patients emphasize his kindness, compassion, willingness to help, communication, and overall character.”
HRMC’s Exceptional Employee of the Month award recognizes an employee who goes above and beyond to demonstrate the hospital’s values of being accessible, helpful and knowledgeable. Employees can be nominated by other coworkers or by a patient or visitor who witnesses exceptional service. A committee of employees from various hospital departments chooses the employee on a monthly basis and an Exceptional Employee of the Year is chosen at year-end from the 12 monthly honorees.
As August exceptional employee, Comes received a candy bouquet, meal certificate to a local restaurant, professional photo session and portrait, $50, a lapel pin and a special parking place for a month.
Comes began work at HRMC as an LPN in June of 2019 and earned his Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree from Lake Area Technical Institute as an HRMC Foundation Healthy Huron Commitment Scholarship recipient. Ethan recently completed his three-year commitment to HRMC and looks forward to continuing his work at the hospital.
Ethan and his wife, Chandler, also an RN at HRMC, live in Huron with their dog, Rocky. In Ethan’s spare time, he enjoys hunting pheasant and duck.
