HRMC Honors French as Beyond Exceptional Employee

Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) recently recognized Debra French with the Beyond Exceptional Everyday (BEE) Award.
French works as a receptionist at HRMC Physicians Clinic, where she helps welcome patients, assist with their needs, and support providers and coworkers throughout the clinic. She was nominated for the award by a colleague who recognized her commitment to providing exceptional service to patients and those she works alongside.
“Deb is the epitome of HRMC’s core values,” her colleague shared in the nomination. “She is a team player, always willing to help, respectful to coworkers and patients, and always available to answer questions, rearrange a schedule or talk to a patient.” The nomination also highlighted French’s kindness and compassion, noting that she approaches difficult situations with a smile and is always willing to learn something new or help wherever she can. “If you want to see what a prime employee looks like, you don’t have to look far, as Deb resembles it to a T.”
French finds motivation in the people she interacts with each day. “What I like most about being a receptionist at the clinic is the patients, coworkers and providers.”
Upon receiving the BEE Award, French was “very surprised” by the recognition.
HRMC’s BEE Award recognizes employees who go above and beyond to demonstrate the hospital’s core values of REACH by being respectful, engaged, available, competent, and helpful. Employees can be nominated by fellow coworkers or by patients or visitors who witness exceptional service. A committee of employees from various hospital departments select the BEE Award honoree on a quarterly basis.
As a BEE Award recipient, French received a meal certificate to a local restaurant, a professional photo session, and a lapel pin.
French lives north of Cavour with her husband, Gary. They have three children, Melissa, Doug and Dustin, and five grandchildren: Parker, Wyatt, Weston, Brooks and Kutter.
Outside of work, French enjoys camping and fishing and volunteers through her church, the Wheel Jam Truck Show and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. She also enjoys attending her grandchildren’s basketball, baseball and football games.
