HRMC Physicians Clinic Offering Moderna Booster Vaccinations

HRMC Physicians Clinic is now scheduling appointments for Moderna booster shots for community members who meet the recommended guidelines.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have endorsed the reccommendation for an additional dose of the COVID vaccine in certain populations. These recommendations state that everyone in the below groups, regardless of which vaccine they initially received, are eligible to get a COVID booster.

For individuals who received a Moderna or Pfizer COVID vaccine, the following groups are eligible for a booster shot at least 6 months+ after their initial series:

Age 18+ who work or live in high-risk settings
Age 18+ who have underlying medical conditions
Age 18+ who live in long-term care settings
65 years and older

For individuals who received a Johnson & Johnson COVID vaccine, anyone age 18 and older is eligible for a booster shot at least 2 months+ after receiving their initial vaccine.
