HRMC Prenatal Classes Planned to Start March 12

Huron Regional Medical Center’s March session of prenatal classes will be hosted in-person on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. in the Birthing Center on the hospital’s third floor.

The three classes, which are recommended to be taken during the third trimester of pregnancy, will be held on March 12, 19 and 26. Prenatal education classes are designed to prepare expectant parents for childbirth and are taught by certified childbirth educators. The classes last 2-3 hours and include rest breaks and snacks along with a tour of the spacious and comfortable labor and delivery suites in the Birthing Center.

The second class of each month features information from a certified lactation counselor on the basics of feeding a newborn. In addition, an optional basic life support class is also available to parents, grandparents and caregivers in conjunction with the regularly scheduled course dates. A one-time fee of $25 covers the costs of materials.
