HRMC to co-host July Food Truck Wednesday with “Splashing for Stories” Dunk Tank Fundraiser
July 11, 2025
Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is excited to co-host the July 30 Food Truck Wednesday event at Campbell Park in Huron with Huron Connect, featuring delicious local food and a fun-filled fundraiser for a great cause.
As part of the festivities, HRMC will present Splashing for Stories, a dunk tank event to raise funds for the Reach Out and Read program at HRMC clinics. Reach Out and Read is a national initiative that promotes early literacy and school readiness by integrating books and reading into pediatric care.
Community members will have the chance to dunk local figures who support children’s health, education and literacy—including pediatric medical providers, teachers, and librarians. Each splash supports the purchase of books for young children during their well-child visits at HRMC clinics.
“We’re excited to support early literacy in our community and invite everyone to join us for some summer fun,” said Mati Felderman, Director of Community Engagement and HRMC Foundation.
Food Truck Wednesday runs from 5:30-8:30 p.m. the last Wednesday of each month, May-July. The dunk tank will begin at 5:45 p.m., with all proceeds going directly to Reach Out and Read. Watch the HRMC and HRMC Foundation Facebook pages for information on individuals to be dunked! Don’t miss your chance to make a splash—for stories and smiles!
