HRMC’s Erickson Honored as Association Member of the Year

Huron, S.D. – Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is pleased to announce Joette Erickson has been honored as member of the year for the South Dakota Central Service Society, according to Pam Shoultz, RN, director of surgery for HRMC.
Erickson, who has worked as a certified sterile processing technician in HRMC’s CSD department for more than 13 years, was honored at the annual meeting of the society on October 15 in Sioux Falls.
"I could not be more proud of Joette," said Shoultz. “She is a dedicated, caring and compassionate individual who takes her role in providing sterilized medical equipment for surgical cases very seriously – helping HRMC to deliver safe, quality care to our surgery patients.”
Before earning her certification and joining the CSD team, Erickson worked in the dietary department at HRMC for ten years.
Spending time with family is very important to Erickson. She and her husband, Rick, reside in Huron and have two grown sons: Aaron and wife Becki reside in Watertown; and Steve and his wife Missy live in Elkton. She likes to spend her free time baking and reading but above all else following their four grandchildren; Tatum, Aiden, Tevan and Eliot in sports and all other activities.
