Local Partners Raise Over $25,500 to support Women’s Health

A host of successful fundraisers for Breast Cancer Awareness and women’s health in 2025 raised over $25,500 to support the HRMC Foundation’s We’ve Got You Covered Fund.
In the first women’s health event of 2025, 28 teams teed up for a great day of fundraising at the Golfing for a Cause Tournament on Wednesday, June 11, with the event raising over $14,000.
The annual Running Ladies Night Out on Wednesday, October 8 raised $1,885, including a raffle of items donated by employees of the local Runnings Store.
On Friday, October 10, Olympic Chevrolet Buick GMC teamed up with the HRMC Foundation for the 9th Annual Walk Around Ravine Lake, which drew over 100 walkers and raised a record $3,570.
The Huron Volleyball Team’s Pink Out Night was held on Tuesday, October 14 at the Huron Arena, with t-shirt sales, silent auction sales and proceeds from pink hair tinsel sales from Escape Salon and Spa raising over $6,000 to support breast health education, awareness and offer free mammograms to women in need.
Contributions from October breast cancer events and our women’s health Golfing for a Cause tournament in June are placed in the HRMC Foundation’s We’ve Got You Covered fund which supports local breast health education and offers free mammograms and important health screenings for women in need.
“We’re inspired by the incredible support for our women’s health events, which demonstrates just how much our community cares,” said Mati Felderman, director of community engagement and HRMC Foundation . “From the enthusiasm and energy of the Huron Tiger volleyball team to the businesses who donate auction items, host events, and participate, every bit helps women in our region have access to vital cancer screenings, education and care. We’re so very appreciative.”
