Miner Joins HRMC Emergency Room Staff

Huron, S.D. – Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) announces the addition of Thomas Miner, certified physician assistant (PA-C), to the emergency room staff, according to Pat Woolridge, RN, MSN, MHA, director of HRMC’s emergency room.
Miner, who began his duties this summer, assesses and treats patients working in cooperation with the patients’ physicians and the emergency room medical director, Dr. William Miner, according to Woolridge.
Before joining HRMC, Miner worked as a physician assistant in hospitals and clinics throughout the region.
“I welcome Tom to Huron and to our emergency room,” said Woolridge. “His experience and knowledge are a great addition to our ER team and will allow us to provide healthcare to patients when they need it most.”
Miner earned a nursing degree from Huron University in 1991. He continued his education in physician assistant studies at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, ND, graduating in 1997. He is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).
Originally from Huron, Miner graduated from Huron High School and is the son of Hugh and Helen Miner. In his spare time, Miner enjoys hunting and spending time with his children.
