SD Women's Expo Seeking Couples Married 25+ Years
August 05, 2016
Huron, S.d. – The South Dakota Women’s Expo is seeking couples who have been married 25 or more years to participate in the “Not-So New” Newlywed Game on Saturday, October 8.
The Newlywed Game, a classic American game show, pits newly-married couples against each other in several rounds of questions to see how well each of the spouses knows each other. This year, organizers are adding a twist by creating the "Not-So New" Newlywed Game! Three married couples who have been married 25+ years will compete to see which set of spouses knows each other the best! With Charlotte Henley at the wheel emceeing, the contest is sure to be entertaining and full of laughter!
Couples married 25 years or more are encouraged to apply online at www.sdwomensexpo.com, under the entertainment tab. Applications are also available at the SD State Fair Office. Three couples will be chosen to participate in the “Not-So New” Newlywed Game.
The game is scored on a point system according to matching answers which determines the results from first through third place. Through our generous sponsors, each couple who participates wins a fantastic prize. First place receives a limo ride for four couples to Strawbale Winery in Renner, SD for wine tasting for eight people, sponsored by Black Tie Limo and Strawbale Winery. Second place receives two tickets to the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre in Chanhassen, MN, courtesy of KDLO Radio. Third place receives dinner for two at Ryan’s Hanger in Huron sponsored by Ryan’s Hanger.
In addition to the “Not-So New” Newlywed Game, Women’s Expo attendees can enjoy a variety of entertainment throughout the day including the Looney Lutherans, Cooking with KSFY’s Courtney Collen and several health information presentations featuring touching patient stories.
Women are invited to pamper themselves with a manicure, pedicure or massage in the day spa. They can take a break in the relaxation area while sipping a glass of wine or beer. Ladies will also enjoy a little “retail therapy” as they stroll through three buildings filled with merchandise from a wide variety of vendors. The gift baskets will also be back – bigger than ever, filled with goodies!
General admission tickets to the Expo are still just $10 or $5 for a limited time at Prostrollo Motors, and include admission to Saturday’s Expo, keynote presentations, a delicious lunch and unlimited access to the interactive vendor displays. General admission tickets are also available at the State Fair office, Coborn’s Super Store and online at www.SDWomensExpo.com.
