VanBuskirk to Offer ENT Services

Kristin VanBuskirk, CNP, family nurse practitioner at the HRMC Physicians Clinic, will expand her practice to provide ear nose and throat (ENT) specialty care beginning October 1, 2024, according to Destiny Finn, RN, CPHQ, vice president of quality and risk management for HRMC.

“I am excited to see Kristin pursue her passion and utilize her training and experience in the ENT realm,” said Finn, who oversees advanced practice provider staff at the HRMC Physicians Clinic.
As an ENT practitioner, VanBuskirk will assess, diagnose and treat a range of diseases of the ear, nose and throat, including minor surgical procedures. In addition, she will work closely with the ENT physicians in the region to help patients access advanced surgical ENT care.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve the health needs of pediatric patients in our community alongside pediatrician, Sean Schooley, MD, and to expand the availability of specialty ENT care for all ages,” said VanBuskirk.
VanBuskirk earned her Master of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner post-graduate certificate from Mount Marty College in Yankton. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Presentation College in Aberdeen. She joined the HRMC Physicians Clinic team in 2020 after previously serving as an ENT nurse practitioner at Avera Medical Group in Aberdeen.
VanBuskirk and her husband, Patrick, reside in Hitchcock. They have four children; Caden, who is forever 15: Karter, who attends Lake Area Technical College for Medical Lab Technology; Sawyer, a freshman at Hitchcock-Tulare High School: and Carson, a sixth grader at Hitchcock-Tulare Elementary.

Allergy, audiology and otolaryngology care is also available in Huron at HRMC Specialty Clinic, served by physicians representing Midwest ENT and Graham ENT.
