    Cash Posting Analyst (Business Office) - 80 hours

    Description

    Greets and courteously directs patients and visitors to various areas of the hospital. Assists customers in settling their accounts, receives and processes accounts receivable checks and other related mail. Maintains and verifies the accuracy and completeness of petty cash requisitions. Prepares daily bank deposit and balances to cash on hand. Demonstrates record of accuracy and efficiency, must be proficient in tasks of reading and interpreting remittance advices, posting payments and contractual adjustments, identifying overpayments and underpayments and resolving credit balances. Responsible for daily entry, reconciliation, electronic data interchange and analysis of all activity between the bank deposits, remittances, EOBs and general ledger. Monitors all payment sources assigned, including any Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs) and manual transactions to ensure that all payment transactions received from all payer sources are fully accounted for, accurately credited or debited and balance daily between the bank account, billing systems and general ledger accounts. Monitors all posting software to ensure that all assigned ERAs and EOBs are received and posted appropriately and timely.

    Hours per Two Week Pay Period: 80 hours

    Shift:  8:30 am – 5:00 pm

    Hours per Shift: 8 hours

    Weekends: None

    Holidays: None

    Job Availability: Immediately

    Starting Salary: Contact Human Resources for this Information

    Minimum Certification/Licenses Requirements: High school graduate or GED equivalent. One or two years of college or business school preferred.

    Preferred Experience: Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and computer use preferred.


    The successful candidate will have to pass competencies for this position.
