dialysis catheter placement (minimally invasive)

Preparing for My Surgery

After My Surgery

At every stage - before, during and after your surgery - our compassionate and expert caregivers are there for you. After surgery, you will be taken to the recovery room where your HRMC care team will make you as comfortable as possible. You may feel hazy or groggy as you come out of general anesthetic. Your nurses will monitor your vital signs, pain and nausea levels.

If you are having outpatient surgery, you will be discharged from your recovery room. We will invite a family member to join you there and provide discharge instructions to you both. If you are spending the night as an inpatient, we will transfer you to a patient room where you will receive the personal, focused care you deserve.

At Huron Regional Medical Center, surgical care doesn't end when you are discharged. We offer support throughout your recovery with follow-up phone calls and other home health programs and services.
