Auxiliary

A friendly face to greet you, a helping hand when you need directions, or comfort and support while you wait for a loved one undergoing tests are just a few of the roles in which you'll find the smiling faces of the HRMC Auxiliary.

The purpose of the Auxiliary is to promote and advance the welfare of HRMC by rendering service to patients. As members of the Auxiliary, volunteers typically serve about 4 hours per week. Volunteers provide refreshments and assistance in hospital lounges, assist visitors with hospital and patient information at the information desks, and deliver floral arrangements and newspapers to patients and all hospital departments each day of the business week.

They also manage and staff the hospital gift shop which offers two convenient locations – in the Main Hospital lobby and in the Central Tower (old hospital) lobby.

The Auxiliary also contributes to various projects at the hospital to assist in enhancing the experience of patients as well as supporting scholarships for students interested in health care careers. Funds are raised through gift shop/candy counter sales and membership dues. The 2025 scholarship application is open. Applications will be accepted January 1, 2025 through April 30, 2025. Complete applicationcan be returned to the HRMC main information desk in an envelope marked "Scholarship Application Enclosed" or mailed to:
