Dr. Todd Anderson

I'll Only Perform Surgery if it is the Best Option for the Patient

Video Transcript

Dr. Todd Anderson: My approach in general in dealing with patients is that I don't operate on anybody unless they have to have surgery. Surgery is inherently more risky than conservative treatment. Sometimes there's no way around it, but my basic indication except in emergency situations, is to always try conservative treatment first and the indications for surgery would be that conservative treatment fails you.
