Finn Promoted to Quality Risk Management Director

Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is pleased to announce Destiny Finn, RN, has been promoted to quality risk management director, according to Erick Larson, president and CEO for HRMC.
In her new role, Finn will lead HRMC’s quality and risk management programs which serve to ensure safe, quality patient care and minimize or eliminate risk to our patients. She will work collaboratively with leadership, physicians, nursing and others to develop and implement programs which maintain regulatory compliance and accreditation while emphasizing the great quality care provided by HRMC.
Finn has more than 20 years of experience working in health care, including patient experience coordinator in HRMC’s Birthing Center since 2019. Prior to joining HRMC, she worked in various nursing and leadership positions in the Black Hills including as a staff nurse at Sturgis Regional Hospital and acute care director at Spearfish Regional Hospital and clinic, emergency room and intensive care nurse at Ft. Meade Veterans Affairs Hospital.
“Her experience working as a nurse and in leadership positions in a variety of settings gives Destiny a broad base to draw from as she works with all of the different stakeholders,” said Larson. “She has an analytical mind and a caregiver heart which helps her see the big picture goals for quality at HRMC and also have the ability to translate that direction to frontline teams.”
“I’m excited for this next step in my career journey,” said Finn. “I look forward to working with everyone at HRMC to ensure that the care we deliver is patient-centered and quality driven.”
Originally from Redfield, Finn earned her nursing degree from Huron University in 2001. She and her husband, Shane, live in Wolsey and have five children: Taylor, age 23, Lanessa, age 18, Carson, age 11, Grason, age 9, and Maxon, age 6. In her spare time, she enjoys cheering on her children in their various sporting events and activities.
