Vanden Berge Joins HRMC Physicians Clinic

Huron, S.D. – Stephenie Vanden Berge, certified nurse practitioner (CNP) has joined the family care team at HRMC Physicians Clinic, according to DeeAnna Opstedahl, RN, MSN, CNOR, VP-Patient Services for Huron Regional Medical Center.
As a certified nurse practitioner, Vanden Berge provides family healthcare services, including assessment, diagnosis, evaluation and treatment, to patients of all ages. She is the newest member of the clinic’s family care team consisting of Vincent Oyler, MD, Kristina Boetel, CNP, Rebekah Storm, DNP, and Kristin VanBuskirk, CNP.
“We’re thrilled to bring Stephenie to the team of practitioners at the Physicians Clinic,” said Opstedahl. “Stephenie’s urgent care background and desire to get people feeling better quickly will be a great benefit as our care teams work together to quickly address the needs of our patients.”
Vanden Berge earned her Master of Science in family nursing from Mount Marty College in Yankton. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from South Dakota State University in Brookings and Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Community Health from Winona State University in Winona, MN. Most recently, Vanden Berge worked as a nurse practitioner at Quick Care in Huron. Prior to moving to Huron, she worked as a registered nurse at Avera oncology in Sioux Falls for over six years.
“I originally became a nurse because of the compassion I’ve seen in other nurses in my experiences,” said Vanden Berge. “I enjoy providing that compassion to patients and like to help them get back to their optimal health.”
Vanden Berge and her husband, Ryan, live in Huron and have a one-year-old daughter. She enjoys traveling with her family, gardening and spending time with her daughter, who loves the outdoors.
As a member of the family care team, Vanden Berge will be available to assist patients with DOT physicals, wellness exams and is available now to care for urgent needs of all patients, even those that typically see another provider.
